my secret writing fantasy
I was never that seven year old flying through books faster than you read texts.
I was never the eleven year old writing original short stories that would make Dickens jealous.
And I was never the fifteen year old captivating the lunch table with my ludicrous adventures only James Bond could survive.
I’m a late bloomer when it comes to writing…
With only a few years in my arsenal, my trophy shelf is nothing more than a dust bunny haven.
But that’s okay.
I’m not focused on reaping the rewards.
I don’t want to be a writer just to write for the prestigious awards, human-sized trophies, and truckloads of money (but don't get me wrong, I don’t want to be broke either).
I want to be the writer that makes people drop whatever they're doing to read what I publish…
The writer that can transform waiting in line at the supermarket into a life or death stakes rollercoaster ride.
I want to be the jealous writer that strives to hoard all of your attention -- but gives you life changing stories in the process.
That's the writer I seek to be.
